We are seeking a full-time remote Sales Administrative Assistant to join our team! You will work with our Sales Director to help us administer and scale our e-commerce and wholesale sales operations as we sell specialty produce to a growing number of consumers and chefs in New York City. This role is fully remote and is open to applicants from across the United States. The role is 40h/week, approximately 8:30am-5:30pm EST Monday-Friday. Starting pay rate is $18.50/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Administer our e-commerce platform:
- Manage inventory of crops and packaging
- Update product descriptions
- Maintain order fulfillment logs
- Process orders and invoices:
- Input orders into order management system
- Create, approve, and send invoices
- Create daily delivery routes for delivery professional team
- Liaise between Sales Director and Harvest Team:
- Conduct online quality control process ensuring excellent quality of harvested product
- Understand and communicate nuances of daily order needs to harvest team
- Perform customer communication and service:
- Send delivery and pick-up readiness status notifications to customers
- Serve as the first point of assistance for customers by email or website chat
- Review and respond to customer feedback
- Assist Sales Director in improving sales outcomes
- Conduct outbound sales research
- Prepare reporting and analyze data to inform improvements
- Take on increased and new responsibilities with strong performance
Requirements
Characteristics of Success:
- Highly effective time management; ability to manage multiple simultaneous time-sensitive tasks and projects to on-time completion, and switch quickly between tasks, prioritizing based on urgency and importance
- Demonstrated orientation to detail; completes high-stakes work with accuracy, and takes ownership to triple check accuracy of own work

- Commitment to learn visual, flavor characteristics and packaging requirements for each crop in our range of 40+ (and growing) consumer product offerings, as well as eagerness to learn details of our New York City farm operations as broader context for this roles work
- Interest and experience in the food service or urban agriculture industry a plus, but not required
- Experience in sales, e-commerce platform management, account management, or customer service a plus, but not required
Requirements:
- 2 years relevant work experience or evidence of demonstrated relevant skills
- Must have and maintain your own computer and cell phone for use in this role
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Must be fluent in English
